Welcome to the Tigray Community Association in Calgary!
Our community, founded by Tegaru residents in Calgary in 1984, officially incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta in February 2019. What began with just three members has flourished into a vibrant community of over 250+ individuals.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to serving our members in Calgary and surrounding area with a diverse range of offerings, including cultural events, newcomer settlement support, employment guidance, translation assistance, and youth development programs.
Driven by the dedication of our volunteers and the generous support of our members, we strive to foster growth and unity within our community. Our leadership team consists of seven dedicated individuals, including the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Controller and Public Relations.
